Through the vineyards and ancient villages, along with the edge of Trnovo Forest to the Otlica natural Window or to mount Čaven and Nanos Plateau. Whichever direction you head to from Vipava Valley, an exciting hiking trail awaits that won’t leave you unmoved. Along the way, you will learn about the Slovenian hiking culture, our love of walking, and the history of outdoor activities and sports in this mountain area in particular.

Choose your preferred option for your hiking adventure!

Along the ridge of Gora Plateau:
– One of the most beautiful hiking trails in Slovenia. Ca. 7 km long relatively easy walking trail which offers magnificent views and beautiful natural attractions.

Hike to Mount Nanos:
– Take a picturesque hiking trail along the ridge of Nanos plateau. It is a ca. 9 km long walking trail with almost 500 vertical meters. The reward awaits on the top of the mountain.

Hike to mount Čaven or Mount Mali Golak:
– In the very heart of the Trnovo forest, you will find these two mountains adorned by local hikers. A bit more demanding trails through the lush beech forest. Perfect summer getaway!

Hike through the vineyards:
– Take a hike through the vineyards and centuries-old villages. Learn about local wines and food, stop at the winery and taste the best wines from the area.
