Vineyards and centuries-old villages
The Vipava hills are rising above the Vipava Valley from the south, and have the best positions for winegrowing. Winemakers are carefully cultivating this land for more than 2000 years so it would give them quality grapes for excellent wine. There are numerous well-maintained gravel roads that connect stone-made villages with vineyards that create a perfect cycling environment. Short climbs, ridges with astonishing views and undemanding descend will give you an opportunity for an unforgettable ride. Make a stop in the wine cellar and taste the wine, which comes from the hills you were cycling on.
